Another new Newgrounds update?

Posted by G2961 - 5 hours ago

It seems that there have been more updates on Newgrounds, but this have affected the filters of the subscriber list. Previously, you could see which are the "Most Recent", "Name" and "Popularity", but now it looks like this.

There are only two functions left: "View Recent Fans" and "View Oldest Fans".

It used to be much more convenient for me when there were three subscriber sorting functions available.

It would be cool if the previous filters were returned, but at the same time adding "View oldest Fans", as this is a really convenient thing.

What do you think about this?

We still need the index name to A to Z

Yes, definitely!!

Yeah. I don't want same mistakes us youtube did when removed see old comments and search comments. And who most followed one.

Yes, I remember how it used to be possible to do this. Overall, I miss the old YouTube interface.

@G2961 Me too. And interface when i first time meet youtube in 2011 by bionicles

The pagination for popular artists was hammering the database, in particular with web crawlers that weren't obeying our robots.txt which blocks crawling those lists.

Hoping we'll bring back at least a top 100 Most Popular fans but the pagination won't be returning due to all the processing involved.

That explains everything now! I hope that at least 40-50 Most Popular Fans will be restored, as it makes no sense to look beyond 50, lol

I miss that feature but after reading Tom's explanation I now know better.

I really loved the Popularity sorting, pity that it's missing now.

@TomFulp makes sense

We also have a new badge on profiles if someone follows you

NGs newest god is Phone-browsing Gen Alpha/Zoomies and it shows. It looks more and more like that oversimplification fad that companies are into than a website. Quite lame.
