I think its just the pains of the internet / social media. I think while 3.9 feels like a bummer, i think its better than just getting 5’s for everything. I find more popular artists get 5 bombed alot and that kind of stuns their growth. I am not a musician but i find the review scoring to be more fair on newgrounds than other sites i have used. Its a little bit rougher yeah but sometimes tough love helps you get better.
this is more to me than some kind of website on the Internet.

Not a musical artist so I don't know a lot about music, but I have an advice : do not pay attention to the score given to your work. Most of the time, it isn't faithful since the average NG user isn't an art critic & the art-side of this community is really toxic ( talking about experience ).
I used to get attacked a lot in the past & my work often got 0-bombed by harassers. I was already going through a lot when it happened, & when I called the harassment out on a post, people thought it was a good idea to send me insults & to call me an "attention beggar"..
It demotivated me a lot & I requested an account deletion, I even considered quitting art as whole. Really, just post your work & do not care about haters. Keep making music for fun. Today I'm making art for myself & I occasionally get commissioned, I'm happy with my work.
